Corey Bulken | Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach
Corey Bulken joined the University of Hartford men's lacrosse coaching staff in August 2017. Bulken, who has been brought on as the Hawks' top assistant, will serve as the team's recruiting coordinator, offensive coordinator and faceoff coach.
Bulken most recently served as an assistant coach for Ohio State, helping guide the Buckeyes to championship game of the 2017 NCAA Tournament. Under his guidance, the Buckeyes finished the year ranked No. 4 in the nation in faceoff winning percentage at .621 percent.
Prior to landing at Ohio State, Bulken served two years as a volunteer coach at Virginia, working specifically with the faceoff specialists. During the 2016 season, the Cavaliers combined to rank No. 15 in the nation in winning percentage at the X.
Bulken began his coaching career at Washington College, located in Chestertown, Md. He helped lead the Shoremen to back-to-back NCAA Division II Tournament appearances while mentoring a faceoff specialist to All-America honors.
As a player, Bulken was a two-time United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-American as a faceoff specialist at Le Moyne. Named Second Team All-America as a junior, he was named to the organization's First Team as a senior after leading the NCAA with a .692 winning percentage inside of the circle. Bulken was also named the USILA Division II Specialty Player of the Year that season.
In addition to his All-America accolades, Bulken led the Dolphins to three-consecutive NCAA Division II Tournament title game appearances during his tenure. After his collegiate career, Bulken took his talents to the professional rankings, playing for both Charlotte and New York in Major League Lacrosse.
A native of Baldwinsville, N.Y., Bulken earned a bachelor's degree in communication with a concentration in public relations and a minor in English from Le Moyne in 2011. He spent time as an intern in Le Moyne's sports information office and was also accepted to the NCAA Career in Sports Forum during his college career.
Tim Cimini | Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach
Tim Cimini enters his second season as a member of the University of Hartford men’s lacrosse coaching staff, as he was recently elevated to assistant coach in August of 2016. A native of West Hartford, Conn., Cimini joined the Hawks in fall of 2015 by way of Trinity College, where he served as an assistant coach for the previous two seasons.
During his stint as an assistant coach at Trinity, Cimini was the team’s defensive coordinator. His responsibilities extended to all aspects of the program, both on and off the field. In addition, Cimini earned his Master’s degree in history from Trinity.
Prior to joining the coaching staff at Trinity, Cimini worked as the head coach of the Connecticut Cardinals Lacrosse Club’s Maroon Team and was an assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Saint Leo’s University, an NCAA Division II program located in Saint Leo, Fla.
Cimini also brings a decorated playing career with him to Hartford. A graduate of Springfield College, he was a team captain who earned All-New England ECAC First Team laurels in 2011 and 2012 while also receiving All-NEILA Team accolades in the latter year. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Springfield College in English and education.
In addition, Cimini traveled abroad for six months following his graduation, traveling to England where he coached, promoted and played lacrosse. Specifically, he worked with the Rochdale Lacrosse Club in Manchester, England.
